Onboarding checklist

  1. Choose a design from the dropdown — it lists every design stored in this browser.
  2. Click Inspect design .
  3. A metadata card appears with the design's name, ID, canvas size, background, element count, version, and timestamps.
  4. A live preview renders below so you can match the metadata to the actual canvas.

Steps tick themselves off as you work — or tap any step to toggle it.

Every photoaicompany design is a self-contained document: a fixed canvas size, a background color, and a stack of editable layers. Get a Design reads one back in full — pick a design below and you'll see its name, ID, exact pixel dimensions, background color, how many elements it holds, its version number, and when it was created and last changed.

The element summary lists every layer in stack order, bottom to top: text layers show their wording, images show their size, shapes show their kind. It's the fastest way to audit a canvas before you export it, duplicate it, resize it, or hand its ID to another tool.

Everything runs locally in your browser — lookups are instant and free, and no account is needed. If you haven't created any designs yet, the page will tell you honestly instead of guessing.

How it works

  1. Choose a design from the dropdown — it lists every design stored in this browser.
  2. Click Inspect design.
  3. A metadata card appears with the design's name, ID, canvas size, background, element count, version, and timestamps.
  4. A live preview renders below so you can match the metadata to the actual canvas.
  5. Copy the design ID from the card to use it with any other tool on this site.

Tips

  • The version number increments on every edit — a quick way to tell whether a design changed since you last looked.
  • The layer summary counts groups as single entries; use the list-layers page for the full layer-by-layer breakdown.
  • Deleted a design by clearing browser data? IDs can't be recovered — export important work as PNG or SVG regularly.

What it costs

Free on this site — and it can't be metered. Get a Design uses no AI and runs entirely in your browser: no usage counters, nothing sent to our servers to bill. When credit metering arrives in the app, local operations like this one will never consume AI credits — only server-side AI generations will.

Frequently asked questions

Where do these designs come from?

Designs you create on this site are stored in your browser's local storage, and this page reads them from there. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Can I inspect a design made on another device?

Not on this site — designs stay in the browser where they were created. The full photoaicompany editor syncs designs to your account across devices.

What's the difference between this and the list-layers page?

Get a Design is the overview card: canvas, background, counts, and a compact layer summary. List Layers shows every individual layer with its full ID and properties.

How Get a Design works, step by step

Look up any photoaicompany design by ID — canvas size, background, layer count, and a full element summary. Free, instant, local.

1

Design

The Design picker chooses which canvas receives the work. Keep one design per purpose — mixing campaigns in one file breeds confusion. Name designs by outcome (“Launch-Post-v3”), not by date; future-you searches by intent.

Pro tip: One design, one job. Split multi-purpose files early.

Avoid the traps

Three mistakes to avoid with Get a Design

✕

One design for every placement

A square post stretched into a story looks broken. Fix: resize deliberately for each destination.

✕

Tiny text on busy photos

Small type disappears into photographic detail. Fix: grow the size, add a soft scrim behind it, or move the copy to a quiet zone.

✕

Text touching the edges

Copy crammed against the canvas edge feels accidental. Fix: give every text block breathing room — margins are free.

End to end

A complete Get a Design workflow

Five moves, start to shipped. This is how the work actually flows.

  1. 1

    Start in the editor

Open a blank canvas or a template — Get a Design works on anything with pixels. The tool never asks you to start over.

  2. 2

    Do the core move

Run Get a Design the way the walkthrough above shows. Get the big decision right before touching details.

  3. 3

    Refine with a second tool

Pair it with All tools — tools compose, and two simple moves beat one complicated one.

  4. 4

    Check it on a phone

Most designs are consumed on phones. Preview small, fix what breaks, then continue.

  5. 5

    Export and ship

Export in the format your destination wants, keep the master design, and move on to the next one.
